The Fray - "You Found Me




The Fray is a Grammy Award-nominated four-piece piano rock band. Formed in 2002 by schoolmates Isaac Slade and Joe King, the Denver-based group released their debut album How to Save a Life in 2005. The band is best known for the song "How to Save a Life", which charted in the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 and was also a top 5 single in Canada, Australia, Ireland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The Fray also found national success with the song "Over My Head (Cable Car)", which became a top ten hit in the United States and Canada.


Jack Johnson - "If I Had Eyes




"If I Had Eyes" is the first single from Hawaiian singer-songwriter Jack Johnson's album Sleep Through the Static. It was released exclusively on Brushfirerecords.com November 29. The official iTunes single was released on December 11, 2007.

The track was released on May 20, 2008 to radio and is the album's lead single. The song was introduced on July 13, 2008 at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant. It was the background music for the 'Evening Wear' competition of the pageant. The song is also used on the most recent Samsung U900 Soul advert for the summer, and the 2008 UAAP Cheerdance Competition in the Philippines, sponsored by Samsung.


Nickelback - "Gotta Be Somebody"




Gotta Be Somebody" is the first official single to be released from Nickelback's sixth studio album, Dark Horse. Originally, the lead single from the album was set to be "If Today Was Your Last Day" but was changed instead to "Gotta Be Somebody". The song was digitally delivered to all formats on September 29, 2008.It was available on September 29 for free download for 24 hours only on participating radio station websites and the band's website, after which it was released to all digital markets for paid digital download on September 30th. The song has already reached #1 on American iTunes Rock Chart and #3 on the overall top selling songs. It shot to the #1 spot overall on the Canadian iTunes store.


Akon - "Right Now (Na Na Na)"




"Right Now (Na Na Na)" is the first single from Akon's third studio album Freedom.The song also contains elements from "Wouldn't It Be Good" by Nik Kershaw It went for adds on U.S. Mainstream Top 40 radio on September 23, 2008, and also became available for digital download on iTunes that day.[1] A freestyle using the same set of music as Akon was produced by the rapper Young Dro and is called "Still Sellin (Drugs)". There is an official remix of Right Now (Na Na Na) featuring Kat DeLuna. An unofficial remix with Jayko titled Right Now (Mañana) also exists.

Gavin Rossdale - "Love Remains the Same"




"Love Remains the Same" is the first single from Gavin Rossdale's 2008 album WANDERlust. It entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #76, and peaked at #27. It has also been used in the CBS series Moonlight for its first season finale. The song is featured in the theatrical trailer and on the original soundtrack for the movie Nights in Rodanthe. The track indefintely reasserted Rossdale's commercial relevance


Plain White T's - "Our Time Now"




"Our Time Now" is the third American single from the Plain White T's from their album Every Second Counts. It was shipped to Pop Radio on November 6, 2007. It peaked at #90 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #29 on US Modern Rock charts.

New Kids on the Block and Ne-Yo - "Single"




"Single" is the second single off New Kids on the Block's fifth studio album, The Block, which is a duet with Ne-Yo.

The song was released on 12 August 2008 as a digital download. According to allaccess.com, the single impacted radio on 2 September 2008. the same day the album was released. The song was released as a CD single in the UK on 11 November 2008.

O.A.R. - "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)"




"Shattered (Turn the Car Around)" is the second single and second track from Of a Revolution (O.A.R.)'s sixth studio album, All Sides. It is currently their biggest hit to date, surpassing "Love and Memories". It is used in the current ad for the Blackberry Storm.

A Spanish version of the song was leaked on the Internet titled "¿Cuánto Quieres?", meaning "How Much You Want?", however, Akon's verse is still in English.


Boys Like Girls - "Thunder"

The band first posted the radio remix of the song on their Myspace profile on March 11, 2008. It was the first song Boys Like Girls ever wrote and was written about Martin's high school.

Matt Nathanson - "Come On Get Higher"




"Come On Get Higher" is the second single from Matt Nathanson's 2008 album, Some Mad Hope. It was released in 2008 and was his first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, at #59.

Country duo Sugarland have performed this song at a few concerts, and a live recording of the song appears on the Deluxe Fan Edition of their album Love on the Inside.


Lesley Roy - "I'm Gone, I'm Going"




The Max Martin (Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi, NSYNC) produced track is the first single off of Unbeautiful, which is slated for release on September 30th. The 21-year-old singer/songwriter/guitarist has come a long way from working in a factory in her hometown of Balbriggan, Ireland to being on the verge of a huge breakthrough onto the American music scene.

The original lyrics of the song are, "I'm so addicted to all the things you do, when you're going down on me, in between the sheets," whereas the radio edit lyrics are, "I'm so addicted to all the things you do, when you're rollin' round with me, in between the sheets." Some radio stations were delayed in getting the edited copy, and played a version with the original lyrics for the first few days, but still censoring "All the bullshit I can take."

"If I Never See Your Face Again" is a song written by Maroon 5 members Adam Levine and James Valentine for Maroon 5's second studio album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long (2007). A remix of the song was recorded with pop singer Rihanna, and was released as the fourth single from the album instead of the original version. The remix will be included on the re-release of It Won't Be Soon Before Long, and is featured on the re-release of Rihanna's third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad (2007). The song was produced by Mike Elizondo, Mark "Spike" Stent, and Maroon 5.


Seether - "Rise Above This"




Rise Above This" is the second single from Seether's album Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces. It is the sixth track on the album and became the band's second consective number-one song on the U.S. Modern Rock chart. Seether's vocalist Shaun Morgan has stated that the song is about his late brother, Eugene Welgemoed, and was written before his suicide. Ironically "Rise Above This" was written to bring Eugene out of a depression.

. New Kids on the Block - "Summertime"




New Kids on the Block (also known as NKOTB) is an American pop group that enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a boy band which went on to sell 80 million records world-wide. Assembled in Boston in 1984 by producer Maurice Starr, the members consist of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. The song was released on a 7-inch picture disc throughout the world in various dates in November, with a B-side entitled "A Crippling Blow".


T.I. featuring Rihanna - "Live Your Life"





ve Your Life" is a song by American rapper T.I. off his sixth album Paper Trail. The song features Barbadian R&B singer Rihanna, who uses an autotuner, and was produced by Just Blaze and Canei Finch. It was released as the third single from the album. It officially premiered at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards during T.I.'s performance. This is T.I's third Billboard Hot 100 number one single in the United States (after "My Love" with Justin Timberlake and his previous single "Whatever You Like") and Rihanna's fifth on the same chart (after "SOS", "Umbrella", "Take a Bow" and "Disturbia"). The song samples O-Zone's "Dragostea din Tei".


Ne-Yo - "Closer"




"Closer" is a song by American pop/R&B singer Ne-Yo. The song was produced by Stargate.

The song was released as the first single from his third album Year of the Gentleman. It reached #1 in the UK and spent 11 weeks in the UK Top 10. "Closer" became the fifteenth biggest selling single in the UK in 2008 according to BBC Radio 1's chart of the year.

4 Minutes" is a song by American singer-songwriter Madonna from her eleventh studio album Hard Candy. It was released as the lead single from the album on March 17, 2008 by Warner Bros. Records and features American singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake and Timbaland who also co-wrote and produced the song. It was mixed by Demacio Castellon. The single scored Madonna her 37th Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit, making her the artist with the most Top 10 hits in the history of the chart, surpassing Elvis Presley.In the UK, she retained her record for the most number one singles for a female artist, this being her 13th."4 Minutes" was nominated for the 51st Grammy Awards under the category of Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.

"Hot N Cold" is a song by American singer Katy Perry. The song was written and composed by Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Perry for her second album, One of the Boys.

The track was released as the album's third single. It reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Perry's second consecutive top three single, after her previous worldwide hit "I Kissed a Girl". Jason Mraz - "I'm Yours"





"I'm Yours" is the first single released by Jason Mraz from his third studio album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. The song was originally released on a limited edition EP called Extra Credit as a demo in 2005 to promote his second studio album Mr. A-Z. It was performed in his 2006 gigs and already became a crowd favorite before its release.

"I'm Yours" was nominated for Grammy Award for Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the 51st Grammy Awards.

Taylor Swift - Love Story




"Love Story" is a song by American country music-pop music artist Taylor Swift. It is the first single from her second studio album, 2008's Fearless. The song was released in September 2008, and by November it reached the top of the Billboard country chart, becoming her third Billboard Number One. It has also become her first top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
